OUR QUALITY

OUR QUALITY

All our pieces are genuine 18k gold vermeil plated on a sterling silver base. This means they are water resistant, can be worn in the shower and will not rust and turn green as we do not use copper or nickel in our pieces

Gold vermeil - not to be confused with regular "gold plated" jewellery. Our plating technique utilises a thick layer of solid gold (23-30 microns) pressure bonded and intertwined over a sterling silver base

Our gold vermeil plating is designed to last several times longer than regular plated or gold-filled jewellery (traditionally being 2-3 microns). Our vermeil is the highest form of plating you can purchase before solid gold jewellery

HOW TO CARE FOR MY GOLD VERMEIL JEWELLERY

Gold vermeil will have more longevity than regular plated jewellery, however, like all metals, is still fragile and requires care to maintain it's beauty and shine. Our jewellery can be worn in the shower however unless an item is solid gold, wear in the ocean & chlorine should be avoided and will void your products warranty.
Salt water & chlorine can be extremely harsh on the plating causing your jewellery to lose it's gold & luster. Please consider other harsh corrosive products such as hairspray, perfume and moisturisers.

We also recommend avoiding storing your jewellery in damp or humid places such as your bathroom

HOW TO CLEAN MY GOLD VERMEIL JEWELLERY

We recommend gently cleaning your jewellery with a microfibre cloth or jewellery polishing cloth between wears. For a more deep clean on your precious pieces you can follow our below steps:

HOW TO CLEAN MY GOLD VERMEIL / STERLING SILVER JEWELLERY

Step 1. Mix some dish soap in lukewarm water.

Step 2. Soak your jewellery in the water for 5 minutes.

Step 3. Use a soft cloth (microfibre recommended) or your fingers to gently polish the surface.

Step 4. Rinse the jewels in water and dry with a clean soft cloth. Don't use paper towels, as this can scratch the surface of your jewellery.
