All Porter jewellery pieces are produced with a 925 sterling silver base and 18k gold vermeil, white gold or sterling silver plating. Gold vermeil and white gold is the highest quality of plating, whereby the gold is pressure bonded to the sterling silver base, utilising thick 2.5-3 micron layers of gold (standard plating utilities approximately 0.5 micron layers).

18k gold vermeil and white gold plated jewellery is water resistant and hypoallergenic (copper and nickel free), making it perfect for everyday wear. It is designed to last several times longer than that of standard plated jewellery, intended to be kept, worn and loved for years to come.

Please also note that our products are plated with 18K GOLD. 18k gold is characterised as a warmer and richer tone of gold which is pressure bonded to a sterling silver base. The tone of gold visible across our range on our website is a direct reflection of the 18k gold used in production.
